A Poem for Valentine’s Day

Traces of You

Your sweat and stain

still on my body

sore with last night’s pleasure.

After you left

I slept entangled

In the sheets of our lust.

Waking this morning

The wind chimes sang the unseen

Like my soft sighing giggles.

I moan with the memory

Of your most tender

and vicious touch.

I barely know you

the logistics and lists

of your life are a mystery and

yet…

I saw the mad, silly, potent

essence of your soul

through your eyes.

With each thrust

opening us to the

deeper depth

going down and down to

the dark cavern of wild truth

where you will always be

with me

in timeless and wicked

hunger.
